PARSA organization is a non- government, International organization (NGO) working directly with the disadvantaged people of Afghanistan to build healthy afghan communities. PARSA has been working at the most grassroots level in Afghan communities since 1996. We have consistently evolved over the years to meet the changing needs of the people we support. We believe strongly in empowering visionaries who want to make positive changes in Afghan communities, and that is why many of the programs we take on are led by a PARSA leader with a vision.
Providing case management including psychosocial assessments, vocational assessment, resident progress reports, and assistance with senior citizen, family support and ongoing counseling to residents of PARSA Family village.
Assisting residents of PARSA Family village to re-integrate with society.
Documenting pertinent information and observations on mental health and program participation.
Facilitating resident involvement in decision making.
Facilitating family information and contact when needed.
Advocating with resident’s with different ministries.
Collaborating with allied community services and government agencies to provide vocation, business and literacy training.
Maintaining relevant records and reporting weekly, monthly to the director of the program.
Evaluates client progress toward established goals.
Creates a therapeutic relationship for effective problem solving with client and family. Responds to client/family needs related to adjustment to illness, disability or need for long-term care provide individual counseling for psychosocial and mental health issues including trauma and substance abuse.
Documents interventions in client’s record following department standards.
B.A in psychology or social work or certification by MoPH (Ministry of Public Health) preferably to have master degree
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in mental health or social work area.
Excellent verbal, written (Dari, Pashto and English).
Excellent interpersonal skills, good time management plus organizational skills.
