SUMMARY OF KEY FUNCTIONS
Participate in implementing psychosocial care practice integrated with Maternal and child health intervention
Improve child stimulation and encourage mothers in the relationship with their child
Organize discussion groups and working groups with the beneficiaries
Contribute to the follow up of the beneficiaries’ care practices.
Reports to Nurse in mobile health team
Collaborates with: Members of the Mobile Health Team (MHT), and the GAC Project staff
Actively contributes to MHT and GAC Project Team Meeting at field level, field level
KEY RESULT EXPECTED
To understand the classification, indications, dosage, side effects and contra-indications of all drugs dispensed at the pharmacy;
To store, arrange and organize the drugs properly;
To take preventive measures for sun, moisture and other bugs in the pharmacy;
To ensure proper ventilation and temperature is kept;
To ensure that drugs are not expired, if it is near to be expiry should be reported well ahead of time to clinic in-charge;
To ensure the hygiene of the pharmacy and safe disposal of pharmacy related waste;
To issue medications as per the health providers prescription;
To provide appropriate health education while dispensing medications;
To keep updated and accurate documents/formats for drug consumption;
To identify and report problems that interfere in the delivery of services
Will work effectively with other team members;
Ensure the availability of all supplied drugs and items with specification before signing the receipt form of pharmacy team in each single supply;
Preparing and updating of the emergency box of the pharmacy on monthly basis according to the list;
Notify short expire drugs to the head of mobile health team (nurse) CHC director and Doctor and if the quantity of drugs are more than the consumption of the MHT then send it to stock in the office three months before the expiry
Coordination with CARE Health Projects:
Be aware of CARE-Afghanistan Health interventions and to provide appropriate support as needed
Make monthly report and order for their drugs and equipment
Join the training and meeting Upon request.

Knowledge of BPHS and HMIS

Education and working experience
Diploma of Pharmacy from recognized medical institute (register diploma with MOPH) with at least 2 years’ experience in the related field.
Fluency in spoken and written Dari and Pashtu is a requirement. English Language skills is a plus point
