About U.S Embassy:
U.S Embassy Kabul, Afghanistan
The incumbent serves as a full time physician for the U.S. Embassy Kabul providing primary health care, emergency care, and health teaching. He/she is responsible for providing medical care to Americans with authorized access to the Health Unit and to locally engaged staff injured on the job at the largest Department of State Embassy Health Unit. He/she has the additional responsibility for planning and administering health screening for locally engaged staff and for reviewing medical claims submitted by locally employed staff covered under the Embassy health care plan.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years as a practicing physician clinical experience as a licensed physician in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: General practice knowledge required to deal with a wide variety of medical situations in the Health Unit. Requires understanding of Advanced Cardiac Life Support protocols.
Education: Medical Doctor University degree fully licensed to practice in Afghanistan is required.
How You will be Evaluated:
LANGUAGE: Mandatory: Level III (Good Working Knowledge) English and Level IV(Fluent) Dari.Level 4 Proficiency in English (Fluent) and Dari is required in both speaking and writing.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES Optional: Basic word processing, Internet, e-mail and spreadsheet computer skills required. Must be sensitive to needs and feelings of others and be approachable and personable to direct-hire and local-hire staff. Must have customer-service orientation.
