The candidate will be responsible for overall product management of Roshan’s Data Services. The scope of Data includes strategy, operations, product development, technology, and finance. Broadly the scope covers: Required to develop Roshan’s Data services and solutions for the network bearers (GPRS, EDGE, UMTS/3G, HSxPA, WiMAX, etc) Required to develop Roshan Data Strategy and Roadmap, in line with the current product roadmap. Development of marketing procedures and operational guidelines for Data services deployment for the Consumer, Corporate, and SME segments of Roshan Develop Data Service Launch Procedures, User Acceptance Procedures, Revenue Reporting Guidelines). Launch Data Products Required to drive, in conjunction with Technical, deployment of Data bearers (GPRS, EDGE, UMTS/3G, HSxPA, WiMAX, etc) integration into Roshan’s core network. To survey the local and global value-added services market, understand its direction and report on the various activities. Taking to market new products that will contribute to revenue objectives set forth in the Monthly, Quarterly & Annual marketing /Revenue plan/budget by implementing approved product plans Co-ordination of the individual product project deliverables across Roshan as agreed in the New Product Development Roadmap.
Co-ordination of Product Delivery with all stakeholder departments (IT & Billing, Network, Finance, RA, etc.) to ensure high product service levels.
Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures; work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Some latitude for independent judgment.
New Product and Service Development: Responsible for managing the entire process of conceptualization, through to launch, of new Data solutions and services (Roshan proprietary, or 3rd Party Services). 2.2 Technology Roadmap Definition: Definition of service architecture (bearers, service delivery systems, in conjunction with Technical teams)
2.3 Project & Programme Management: Responsible for Program Management for all Mobile Data projects as identified and approved in Roshan’s Product and Service Roadmap. This typically involves generating service specifications, service development, business process design and implementation, marketing communications development through to service launch, as specified in Roshan’s Product Development Process.
2.4 Product and Service Compliance: To ensure that launched Data services (both Roshan proprietary and 3rd Party Data services) meet quality assurance standards of Roshan, as well as revenue assurance standards.
2.5 Product Management (Product Financial Viability, Document & Process Management, QOS Monitoring, Reporting): Responsible for preparation of financial business case for all projects, in order to ascertain the financial viability of all Mobile Data projects, and to ensure that all launched products meet Roshan’s expected margins. Financial viability product analysis at the point of product implementation and management. This includes; financial business case for all projects, in order to ascertain the financial viability of all NPD and Data projects, and to ensure that all launched products meet Roshans expected margins. Ensures timely collation and publishing of all product and services KPI reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Conducts health checks for all launched products and reports on continued viability. Product Technical Quality Reviews and interventions as required (including but not limited to timely escalation to Group NPD) Product Commercial Performance Reviews and interventions as required (including but not limited to escalations) Controlling of programme and project related documentation and processes Prepare documentation and reports for various levels of Management. Conduct regular programme meetings with all relevant groups and ensure alignment.
2.6 Coordinate internal party management processes to drive focus on effective content development and integration: Collaborate with IT, Networks & Billing departments to develop design specifications for new products that will stimulate revenue Drive end to end processes from creating and communication of content, customization of application features, UAT and final integration of these solutions/applications onto Roshans IT Platform
Define SLA’s for internal processes and service providers, monitor achievement of defined objectives to ensure an effective and seamless interface to all touch points Ensure compliance to applicable regulations and monitor availability of all relevant documentation, across relevant touch points to meet compliance requirements
2.7 Build a capable and motivated and high performance team: Recruit the right talent in consultation with function head, as per defined recruitment guidelines Develop and motivate team members through structured training and on the job coaching Establish performance expectations and regularly review individual performance.
