The governments of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan cooperate in strengthening the Afghan government´s capacity to implement the integration of integration of displaced people (IDPs) and returnees in Northern Afghanistan.
In the Northern Provinces (focus on Balkh, Jawzjan and Samangan) the IDPP project cooperates closely with the Directorates of Refugees and Repatriations (DoRRs) in order to promote cooperation between the national and provincial level. IDPP is coordinating its approach with UNHCR.
To build up and maintain relation to the Afghan provincial, district, and village government structures as well GIZ implementer partners.
Sites survey for finding beneficiaries who meets GIZ-IDPP criteria for receiving supports.
To facilitate relationship and good working relation with the partners, villagers and village authorities.
To carry out specific research tasks which are required for planning the implementation of the project.
Any other tasks assigned by the Project Manager or AV for the field of related activities.
REPORTING & DELIVERABLES
Based on GIZ established criteria of assessment and field implementing practises, the consultants should submit reports and survey documents.
High school graduate, bachelor degree is preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive work experience in an equivalent position. Experience working in a similar position for an NGO or an international organization is preferred.
Other knowledge, additional competences
Excellent computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the internet.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen to and respect colleagues.
Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team. Must also be able to create a supportive working relationship among all project teams.
Languages: fluent Dari, Pashto, Uzbaki/English essential.
