Purpose of the job:
The education Officer/Master Trainer will be working under the direct supervision of the education PM and he/she will be implementing education project, assisting day-to-day activities especially in training aspects with education PM. Following to the proposed assignment, Master trainer will facilitate an effective training for the teacher’s capacity buildings.

Job Description:

Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
Implement delegated education project portfolio according to plan of action
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
Ensure proper filing of documents
Under the team leading of the Education PM, expand, develop, coordinate and manage NRC’s Community Based Education/Accelerated Learning Program project component in Kandahar.
Identify and train education Supervisors (both males and females) on training of the teachers’ package to enable them supervising the Community Based Education/Accelerated Learning Program classes’ teachers/mentors.
Provide MoE Education ToT package to 123 CBE/ALP teachers/mentors (both males and females) in order to make them ready for establishing and managing the CBE/ALP classes at the communities’ level.
In close cooperation with the members of the project team develop steps and procedures for timely planning and implementation of all elements in the program, in particular all training, monitoring and in-service training activities.
Ensure that all CBE/ALP activities are in accordance with norms and standards.
Provide Guidance to the team members, and coordinate activities with other NRC sectors.
Monitor, evaluate and suggest changes and improvements in the project and materials based on observations and discussions with the education team and the PM and/or AM.
Prepare monthly reports and as required.
Contribute to the development of NRC’s Country strategy, action plan and activities plan and priorities.
Assess the suggested area of operation in close collaboration with the Education Officer and PM.
Propose engagement of local or international experts for certain aspects of training sessions as relevant.
Communicate with and facilitate necessary agreements and understanding from local education authorities in line with the NRC protocol for communication.
Communicate, exchange information and co-operate with relevant actors.
Work closely with the local staff of Education Sector partners in Ministries, UN agencies, Institutions and Non-Governmental Organizations.
Participate in relevant meetings.
Actively promote the rights of IDPs/returnees.
Any other task relevant to the position as requested by the PM/Area Manager.

Job Requirements:

University degree in Education or other related field
3 years working experience in field of training.
Experience from working as a trainer in a humanitarian/recovery context
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
Some knowledge of English
Knowledge of the context in (Kandahar Province)
Knowledge of the local language (Pashto and Dari)
Experience with start-up, exit or similar activities of the project and MoE CBE/ALP guideline
