Purpose for the job
To provide support to the Communication & Advocacy section in the implementation of communication activities, as well as administrative and logistics support.
Summary of key functions/accountabilities:
Support administrative tasks in the section, including preparing contracts, preparing payments and other related paperwork. Support logistical arrangements as required, including travel and dissemination of publications and other materials to other offices and to partners.
Support the management of the country office website.
Support the development of multimedia assets as required video, photographs as may be required.
Assist in drafting and editing articles, press releases, human interest stories and other advocacy/information materials in all media formats, as appropriate including translations.
Support monitoring and analysis of the use and effectiveness of media materials
Assist in collaborating with the media through activities such as organizing project site visits, facilitating photo coverage and TV footage and utilizing both web-based and traditional media as appropriate.
Impact of Results
The efficiency and effectiveness of the support provided by the Communication Associate contributes to the development and dissemination of evidence-based messages and communication materials to support policy and public advocacy for child rights, drive local action for children and support resource mobilization with increased emphasis on digital media.
